Ticket Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are buying from

The event is organised by Tsz Shan Monastery (“TSM”). The tickets are sold by Polygon Digital Entertainment Ltd (“we”, “us”), in our own name and into our own account. We also operate this website and the ticketing platform.

In this document “we” means the ticket seller named above and nobody else. The Personal Information Collection Statement and Privacy Policy defines it differently — there it covers TSM and the seller together, because both are data users.

In practical terms: your contract for the ticket is with us, not with TSM, and the payment is collected by us. The programme on the event day at the monastery is TSM's responsibility.

For anything at all — your order, a payment, a refund or a disputed charge — write to reg@tszshan.org. TSM looks after that mailbox and may pass anything to do with orders or payments on to us.

2. What appears on your receipt and card statement

Payment is taken in Hong Kong dollars and processed by Stripe. Your card statement will usually show POLYGON DIGITAL, or a shortened form of it — banks abbreviate these differently. Your receipt comes from the same company, Polygon Digital Entertainment Ltd, the ticket seller. If a charge looks unfamiliar, please contact us before disputing it with your bank — a dispute voids the ticket immediately.

3. Tickets and seats

A ticket admits the named registrant only and may not be resold for profit. Tickets cannot be transferred to another person. Each ticket covers the days and track you selected.

An on-site ticket includes admission on your chosen day(s) and the afternoon streams you reserved at registration. From the moment you press Next on the Attendee Details step, your seat, the afternoon streams you chose and any shuttle place are held for 30 minutes so that you can pay; after that they are released automatically, and an unpaid hold reserves nothing.

An online ticket includes the live stream of the morning plenary (the opening, the keynotes and the panel discussions) on your chosen day(s) and an e-certificate of attendance; the afternoon streams are on-site only and are not broadcast. The stream runs on Zoom Webinar, and you must sign in to Zoom with the email address you registered with. If your Zoom account uses a different address, raise a change request from “My Ticket” at least 3 days before the event and enter that address there. If you have any question about it, email reg@tszshan.org.

On-site and hybrid tickets include a personal badge, printed and issued at the Reception Counter once your ticket is scanned. The QR code on it is what admits you to each afternoon stream, so please wear the badge throughout your time at the monastery and present it to be scanned at each stream venue. The badge does not need to be returned.

Free shuttle seats can be reserved when you book, subject to availability.

An e-certificate of attendance is issued against an attendance record — a check-in scan for on-site and hybrid tickets, and a staff confirmation against the Zoom report for online ones. Whether one is issued is at Tsz Shan Monastery's sole discretion.

4. Changes to your itinerary

The ticket date and track (on-site, hybrid or online) cannot be changed after purchase.

Other changes, including your afternoon streams, may be requested through “My Ticket” or by email to reg@tszshan.org. Whether any change is granted is at Tsz Shan Monastery’s sole discretion, and depends among other things on availability.

5. Refund Policy

The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. Programme changes and cancellation

TSM may change speakers, running order or venue arrangements without individual notice. Changes of that kind are not grounds for a refund.

All tickets for our events and activities are non-refundable. Events will proceed as planned unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe by management or local authorities. In the event of extreme weather, natural disasters, or public safety emergencies outside our control, Tsz Shan Monastery reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the format of the event. Because the event costs are committed in advance, no refunds or partial refunds will be issued.

7. Admission

Show your ticket QR code at the entrance. Each code can be used once; a repeat scan is refused. We are not responsible for any unauthorized duplication or use of your ticket code. Please do not share your ticket link or QR code publicly.

TSM may ask anyone who does not follow venue rules, or who disrupts other attendees, to leave. No refund is due in that case.

8. Personal data

We handle your personal data as set out in the Personal Information Collection Statement and Privacy Policy, which says what we collect, why, what kinds of service provider receive it and how long we keep it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
